Lenggries is an climate spa town in the Isarwinkel region of the Alpine upland, with Brauneck (1,556 m) as the local mountain. Lenggries has become well known for its magnificent hiking paradise and its ski area. From the summit of Brauneck you have an impressive panoramic view of the Alpine upland, across the Karwendel range and Tegernsee mountains to the dazzling snowy peaks of the Alps. In the surrounding area you will find countless lakes worth a visit, such as the Tegernsee, Lake Schliersee, Lake Walchen and Lake Kochel.

Get active and go hiking all year round on the endless trails, in the sun and in the snow, from lodge to lodge, and enjoy one breathtaking panoramic view after another. As one of the most enjoyable holiday activities, the area around Lenggries offers hiking trails of all difficulty levels, from family-friendly with children to athletic on rocky ridges. Also nearby for our guests is, of course, a hike up the mighty Brauneck, the most famous mountain of the Isarwinkel region. One of the most popular excursions takes you along the green, almost flat ridge path of Brauneck to the Achselköpfe mountains, in front of the Benediktenwand. From Brauneck itself you can really lift off - with a hang-glider or paraglider.

In the air, on land or in the water: you can keep fit whilst also enjoying an enchanting landscape. Besides hiking and skiing, exhilarating routes for mountain climbing offer more options. Cycle on well-designed paths, mountain bike cross-country over sticks and stones or enjoy seemingly endless Nordic walking. Around 500 km of marked cycling and mountain biking trails are at your disposal here in the Tölz countryside - from leisurely to athletically ambitious.

Those who love a good adrenaline rush can go climbing, kayaking or tandem paragliding.

In summer, the waters in the vicinity of Lenggries are also not to be missed. Cool off in the Isar River, for example, the landmark of the Isarwinkel region. You can escape the summer heat at the beach on Sylvensteinspeicher, at a natural open-air pool or at the Isarwelle indoor pool. More fun and excitement is to be had while rafting, surfing, sailing and diving.
